2026 Waukesha County Award Winners

The Waukesha County Business Alliance, Waukesha County, and the Waukesha County Center for Growth are proud to announce the 2026 Waukesha County Award winners! These awards recognize top-performing businesses and nonprofit organizations which have a significant presence in Waukesha County and are making our community a great place to work, play and live.

Congratulations to our 2026 Waukesha County award winners!

Mega Business of the Year:

ABB is a global technology leader specializing in electrification, automation, motion systems, and sustainable energy solutions. The company provides advanced electrical distribution products, industrial automation and control systems, high-efficiency motors and drives, and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure. These technologies help industries improve safety, productivity, and energy efficiency while supporting the transition to cleaner and more sustainable operations. In 2024, ABB began the phased opening of its new $100 million manufacturing cam-pus in New Berlin, a project designed to expand U.S. production of industrial electric drives and strengthen local sup-ply chains. The facility brings more than 700 employees to the site and was projected to add an additional 100 new jobs over the next three years, supporting long-term workforce expansion and high-skilled employment in the region.

Large Business of the Year:

OwnersEdge is a Wisconsin-based, 100% employee-owned holding company that partners with and grows businesses delivering mission-critical technology and infrastructure solutions. Through its portfolio of operating companies, OwnersEdge designs, builds, and supports systems across communications infrastructure, robotic automation, wired and wireless networks, event technology, and embedded computing. Across its six operating companies, OwnersEdge enables large local manufacturers, healthcare providers, data center developers, Fortune 500 companies, and public safety agencies to operate efficiently, scale effectively, and serve their communities. This work strengthens the broader business ecosystem while contributing to job creation, long-term investment, and a model of ownership that directly benefits employees.

Medium Business of the Year:

Headquartered in Waukesha, Superior Crane Corporation (SCC) is a manufacturer and supplier for material handling equipment including singular components such as hoists and parts, to complete crane systems of small and large capacities. They offer turnkey manufacturing with the ability to make components in-house. SCC manufactures overhead cranes, hoists, monorail systems and more. They provide maintenance, parts, inspections and installation, and are a full-service machine shop specializing in short runs for a quick turnaround. Celebrating 70 years of building cranes, the company’s commitment to building a new 31,000 square foot facility reflects a $7million capital investment in the local economy and a long-term commitment to remaining and growing within the county.

Small Business of the Year:

Sky High Marketing is a full-service branded merchandise agency headquartered in Waukesha, and serving clients nationwide through a powerful combination of creativity, craftsmanship, and operational excellence. What began as a local t-shirt provider out of a basement has evolved into a comprehensive partner offering product sourcing, custom design, in-house decoration, online company stores, warehousing, kitting, and fulfillment, all delivered through a state-of-the-art facility built for scale, quality, and speed. Sky High Marketing’s continued growth has also elevated the region’s visibility on a national stage. Through partnerships with major sports organizations and corporate clients, the company demonstrates that world-class branded merchandise and fulfillment solutions can be produced in Southeast Wisconsin. This national presence reinforces the region’s reputation as a place where precision, reliability, and innovation coexist—attracting new opportunities and encouraging sustained investment in local talent and
facilities.

Nonprofit of the Year:

The YMCA of Greater Waukesha County (YGWC) has been a fundamental component of community health, safety, and belonging for more than 135 years. Every year, the YGWC serves as a proactive driver of community well-being and a trusted safety net for thousands of children, families, and adults. Through three integrated strategies, the YGWC directly addresses the number one issue facing the business community – workforce development: providing dependable out of school care to assist working families, establishing career pathways and local employment opportunities, and collaborating with employers through corporate wellness. In 2025, the YMCA of Greater Waukesha County served 55,419 individuals across our community.

The 2026 winners will be celebrated at the Alliance’s 108th Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 17, 2026 at the Brookfield Conference Center. Registration for the event is now open.
