Todd Zakreski Named 2026 Advocate of the Year

Todd Zakreski serves as the President of HUSCO Automotive, a division of HUSCO International, headquartered in Waukesha. He joined HUSCO in 1998, initially leading operations in the United Kingdom and India. In 2007, he returned to the United States to assume his current role. Under his leadership, the automotive division has experienced continued growth and expanded production.

Beyond his corporate leadership, Todd is widely recognized as a champion for manufacturing and a strong advocate for the industry. He previously served as chair of the Waukesha County Business Alliance’s Manufacturing Executive Council, collaborating with local business leaders to address challenges and opportunities within the manufacturing industry.  As past chair of the Wisconsin Manufacturing Extension Partnership (WMEP), he has worked to advance the competitiveness of small and medium-sized manufacturers through technology adoption, workforce development, and process innovation. He has testified before the United States Senate on the importance of investing in domestic manufacturing, strengthening supply chains, and developing the skilled workforce needed to support American industry. In his testimony, Todd emphasized the critical role manufacturers play in driving innovation, creating economic opportunity, and maintaining U.S. global competitiveness, and spoke about Husco’s involvement with the Alliance’s Schools2Skills program for students.

A passionate advocate for the manufacturing sector, Todd regularly promotes policies and partnerships that support workforce development, advanced manufacturing technologies, and the growth of domestic production capabilities. His leadership reflects a commitment not only to Husco’s success but also to ensuring a vibrant future for manufacturing in Wisconsin and across the United States. Throughout his career, Todd has been a champion for manufacturing, advocating at the local, state and federal levels on behalf of the industry.

The Waukesha County Advocate of the Year award was created to honor and remember the late Bart Adams. The award celebrates individuals who have demonstrated incredible dedication to making Waukesha County a vibrant community.
