Leading the Way
The Manufacturing Alliance of Southeast Wisconsin serves as a platform for manufacturers to share ideas, encourage innovation, work together to transform the image of manufacturing and target new talent. The Manufacturing Alliance was formed in 2010 in response to the critical needs of our manufacturers, who account for 20% of industry — or 1 in 5 jobs — in Waukesha County.
Manufacturing Alliance highlights:
- Manufacturing Executive Council – Comprised of manufacturing leaders who set the strategic direction for the Manufacturing Alliance, this group works to raise the profile of manufacturing in Waukesha County, share best practices and attract a talented pipeline of skilled labor.
- Schools2Skills™ – Schools2Skills™ Manufacturing tours give Waukesha County middle and high school students the opportunity to tour local manufacturing companies to learn about what careers in those industries have to offer. To date, more than 9,000 students have participated in this program over the last 10+ years.
- HR Resources – An opportunity to share best practices with other manufacturing human resources professionals from around Waukesha County.
