Interactive, hands-on activities get students excited about careers in the skilled trades

MADEExpo_2018_header

On Thursday, October 18, more than 1,000 middle and high school students in Waukesha County attended the Alliance’s 4th annual M.A.D.E. Career Pathways Expo at Waukesha County Technical College to learn more about careers in the manufacturing, automotive, design, engineering and construction industries. This was our biggest career expo to date.

35 local employers were present to share information about their businesses, showcase products and innovations, give hands-on demonstrations and inform students of internships and apprenticeships. Booths featured a welding simulator, robots and more. Expo participants interacted directly with a wide range of cutting-edge manufacturers to learn more about high-paying, in-demand careers available within their industries.
