Schools are out for summer

Waukesha County schools wrapped up the school year last week. Below represents a portion of the Alliance’s work over the past year to develop our future workforce by connecting businesses and educational institutions:

  • More than 400 students participated in 18 Schools2Skills tours
  • More than 500 students toured the Health Care Career Expo
  • More than 900 students toured the MADE Career Expo
  • More than 150 students experienced Mini Business World
  • Nearly 75 students from the Waukesha School District interviewed with companies
  • The launch of Careers Uncovered brought 45 educators to businesses (3 sites left)
  • The launch of a Workforce Readiness Dashboard
  • The launch of Superintendent/President Industry-Focused Roundtables
  • The launch of the new Bridging the Gap program, which showcased four successful business-education partnerships and drew 250 attendees, including nearly 90 educators
