Alliance welcomes new board members

The Waukesha County Business Alliance has added six new members to its board of directors: Holly Hawkins, president – Wisconsin, Kelly Construction & Design; Todd Hoytink, executive vice president and chief financial officer, Husco International; Lori Lorenz, executive vice president & chief administrative officer, American Transmission Co; Victor Schultz, president and chief fiduciary officer, Prairie Trust; Jon Wehrli, president, Power Systems Division, Electrical Sector Eaton; and ex-officio member Mark Hansen, superintendent, School District of Elmbrook.

Holly Hawkins is president of Wisconsin Operations for Kelly Construction & Design. Hawkins oversees the regional expansion of the company’s portfolio and operations, building on the 17+ years of projects Kelly Construction has completed in the Milwaukee Market. With over two decades of experience in construction with projects ranging up to $200 million, Hawkins chairs the Construction Executive Council for the Waukesha County Business Alliance and has a strong passion for advocating and raising the perception of construction career pathway opportunities to our youth. She was also instrumental in bringing Kids Building Wisconsin to Waukesha County. Outside of work she spends many hours at basketball and softball games along with leading a fundraiser at her children’s school for STEAM initiatives and spaces.

Todd Hoytink began his professional career with Price Waterhouse (PWC) in Milwaukee. Upon leaving PWC, he worked for Johnson Controls in corporate financial planning and analysis. In 2006, Hoytink accepted a position with Husco International, Inc. as corporate controller. He was promoted to CFO two years later and spent the majority of his first 18 months working to rationalize spending and communicating with Husco’s banking partners to restructure lending arrangements. In addition, Hoytink has led efforts to establish new legal entities and the corresponding third-party service providers and staff required to help make these new entities successful. Hoytink has also served on the Family Service of Waukesha board for approximately 10 years, holding the roles of board president, vice president, treasurer, and member of the finance committee. Today, he remains a member of the Advisory Council.   

Lori Lorenz is executive vice president and chief administrative officer of American Transmission Co. Lorenz joined ATC in 2013 as director of human resources. In 2014 she was named vice president of human capital and was promoted to her current position in 2020. Before joining ATC, Lorenz was vice president of human resources at Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee. Lorenz is an active member of Edison Electric Institute’s Chief Human Resources Officer Executive Advisory Committee, Society for Human Resource Management, and Tempo Waukesha. Lorenz was recognized in 2008 as one of The Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” list of young business and community leaders in the Milwaukee metro area. She is also a member of Roger’s Memorial Hospital Foundation Board, Women and Girls Fund of Waukesha County Board of Trustees and University of Wisconsin-Madison Center for Professional & Executive Development Advisory Board.

As president and chief fiduciary officer of Prairie Trust, Victor Schultz is charged with overseeing trust services and related fiduciary issues, including personal trust and estate settlement. Schultz joined Prairie in November of 2013. Prior to that, he worked for Marshall & Ilsley Trust Company and BMO Harris Bank for 16 years.  Schultz has been one of the leaders in modernizing and rewriting Wisconsin’s laws on trust, including the Wisconsin Trust Code, Wisconsin Principal and Income Act and the Wisconsin Prudent Investor Act. He is now working on the trailer bill that will further refine and improve Wisconsin’s trust laws. Schultz is a leading advocate for corporate trustee business in Wisconsin and serves as a director of the Wisconsin Bankers Association Trust Banking Section and WBA Government Relations Committee.  He also serves on the boards of the Ellinger Foundation, the Children’s Hospital Planned Giving Council, the Life Navigators Trust Committee, and the Wispact Attorney Advisory Council. Nationally, he has been a member of the National Conference of Lawyers and Corporate Fiduciaries and the American Bankers Association Trust Counsel Committee.

Jon Wehrli has been president, Power Systems Division, in Eaton’s Electrical Sector since March 2019. Wehrli’s most recent assignment was as vice president and general manager of the Power Reliability Division within the Power Systems Division. Wehrli has been with Eaton since 1985 and has held positions in sales, marketing, product line management and plant management. Eaton is a power management company with 2018 sales of $21.6 billion. Its energy-efficient solutions help customers effectively manage electrical, hydraulic and mechanical power more reliably, safely and sustainably. The company is dedicated to improving the quality of life and the environment through the use of power management

Mark Hansen serves as superintendent in the School District of Elmbrook. Elmbrook serves about 7,500 students and is the 15th largest school district in Wisconsin. Prior to serving as superintendent Hansen worked as a teacher, associate principal, principal, and assistant superintendent. In 2006 he was named State of Wisconsin High School Principal of the Year and was one of three finalists for National High School Principal of the Year. In addition, he is an adjunct professor in the Carroll University Educational Leadership Program, helping develop the next generation of educational leaders.
