Business Education Award

The Business Education Award is presented to a business that goes beyond traditional workforce development efforts by intentionally engaging with K-12 and higher education partners. Through innovative programming, partnerships, and hands-on experiences, the recipient plays a critical role in providing opportunities for students and educators to explore career pathways, develop essential skills, and inspire the next generation of talent.

This award is open to businesses of all sizes and industries located in or significantly impacting Waukesha County that are committed to workforce development and business education partnerships.

 

Award recipients may demonstrate excellence in one or more of the following areas:

  • Student Engagement: Connect students with real-world business experiences such as internships, job shadows, classroom presentations, facility tours, mentorship programs, or project-based learning opportunities.
  • Educator Partnerships: Build sustained partnerships with schools, technical colleges, universities, workforce programs, and educators to align classroom learning with workforce needs.
  • Talent Pipeline Leadership: Actively participate in or support Alliance-led talent initiatives, coalitions, or business education partnerships that strengthen the local talent pipeline.
  • Commitment to Waukesha County: Demonstrate a sustained commitment to developing local talent and strengthening Waukesha County’s long-term workforce competitiveness.
