More than 650 students from school districts in and around Waukesha County attended the Alliance’s annual Discovering Health Care Expo at Waukesha County Technical College on Tuesday, March 5.
The expo exposed students considering a career in healthcare the multitude of career paths available in the industry. Students ranging from 8th through 12th grade participated in various hands-on activities like learning how to use physical therapy tests and blood testing equipment, CPR demonstrations, and more.
Participants in the expo included Capri Communities, Carroll University, Children’s Wisconsin, Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin, HAWS, Lakeland University, Moreland OB-GYN, Mount Mary University, ProHealth Care, Three Pillars, City of Waukesha Police and Fire Departments, University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Waukesha County Technical College.
