The Waukesha County Business Alliance, Waukesha County, and the Waukesha County Center for Growth are proud to announce the 2025 Waukesha County Award winners! These awards recognize top-performing businesses and nonprofit organizations which have a significant presence in Waukesha County and are making our community a great place to work, play and live.

Large Business of the Year:
ITU AbsorbTech
ITU AbsorbTech is a family-owned environmental services company committed to helping businesses maintain cleaner, safer, and more sustainable operations. The company offers managed service programs for shop towels, SorbIts® oil absorbents, and other launderable textiles — a sustainable alternative to single-use products. These reuse programs help customers divert tons of solid waste from landfills each year, supporting their waste reduction goals and ISO 14001 initiatives. Headquartered in New Berlin, Wisconsin, ITU AbsorbTech has been in operation since 1908, when brothers Harry and George Leef began washing and repairing railroad overalls. Today, it is one of the largest family-owned industrial laundries in the country, with 15 locations nationwide. Now in its third and fourth generations, the Leef family remains dedicated to Genuine Service Excellence, innovation in process and service, environmental stewardship, and active community involvement.

Medium Business of the Year:
raSmith
raSmith is a multi-disciplinary consulting firm specializing in civil, structural, and traffic engineering, land surveying, landscape architecture, and construction inspection. Founded in 1978 in Brookfield, Wisconsin, the firm has grown to over 200 employees across Wisconsin, Illinois, and California. Serving both public and private clients nationwide, raSmith is known for its technical expertise, ethical practices, and client-focused approach. The firm has longstanding partnerships with local communities, a strong record of environmental and historic preservation work, and consistent recognition as a Top Workplace for over a decade. Non Profits of the Year:
Eras Senior Network
Eras Senior Network is a nonprofit dedicated to empowering seniors and engaging generations through volunteer-driven support and intergenerational connection. Guided by core values of dignity, compassion, and collaboration, Eras helps older adults and adults with disabilities maintain independence through no-charge services like transportation, yard work, home repairs, and companionship. Serving Milwaukee and Waukesha Counties, Eras coordinates over 20,000 rides annually and offers seasonal and social programs that promote safety, wellness, and connection. As part of the AmeriCorps Seniors network, Eras also engages volunteers through the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) program to meet critical community needs in education, healthcare, nutrition, and more.

The 2025 winners will be celebrated at the Alliance’s 107th Annual Meeting on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at the Brookfield Conference Center. Registration for the event is now open.
