Gov Evers Proclaims February as Career and Technical Education Month

Governor Tony Evers has proclaimed February as Career and Technical Education (CTE) Month in Wisconsin to highlight the state’s efforts to develop students for a wide-range of careers, post-secondary education, or both. According to the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, during the 2019-20 school year, 64 percent of high school juniors and seniors took at least one CTE course, while 30 percent took multiple courses in a career pathway, most frequently in technology and engineering, business and information technology, and family and consumer sciences accounting.
