  • In 1977, St. Joseph’s Medical Clinic, Inc., a free clinic, began providing health care to friends and neighbors who were struggling to afford their healthcare costs. Our mission is to support the health of uninsured and low-income community residents. We accomplish this by providing compassionate and quality access to free or low-fee medical care, medications and related support services.

The clinic is an independent IRS 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We are a United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County member agency. Our patients consist of uninsured, underserved, and low-income Waukesha County individuals and families who need medical care and help in accessing the healthcare system.

Our health care professionals provide their services for free at our downtown clinic location or agree to accept patients in their offices at a discounted rate. Our team of nurses coordinate medical care through patient education, health and wellness assessment, and referrals and resources to the community’s health and human service agencies

St. Joseph’s Clinic makes use of the following resources:

    • A core staff of administrators and health care professionals
    • A network of over 100 volunteer doctors and other health care professionals
    • Partnerships with more than 24 clinics, hospitals, and community agencies that generously donate time, expertise, goods and services
