  • Mathison Metalfab, Inc. has specialized in custom, close tolerance ferrous, non-ferrous and non-metal material fabrication and assembly for more than 50 years.

    The company has served a wide variety of industries including water technology, medical equipment, instrumentation panels, lighting and signage along with others.

    This second generation family run business recently changed hands. General Manager Al Leidinger, two working partners, Ken Welsh and past owner Mike Arntz purchased the business in July 2012.

    Our mission is to provide the highest quality product possible through highly skilled and dedicated employees and suppliers with state-of-the-art technical and manufacturing processes. We are dedicated to the continual improvement of our products, services and the company itself, through process control, employee empowerment and management commitment.

    Since its inception, Mathison Metalfab has been committed to continually updating technology and equipment in order to remain a leader in our highly competitive marketplace. Our business is built on quality and service to our customers. That tradition continues with the new management team.

    The company grew from 16 to 28 employees in the past two years and has added a second shift to help accommodate the 18% sales growth they have seen since January 2011.

  • Did you know...?

    • Mathison Metalfab, Inc. was incorporated in 1959 by Lyall and Caroline Mathison under the name Mathison Magnesium, Inc. and began operations in the basement of the Federal Refrigeration building in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The company's first contract parts were magnesium sifter decks fabricated for the commercial food industry.
    • The Flag Court located by the Fox River and the downtown office of Waukesha State Bank is named Mathison Plaza and was donated by company founder Lyall Mathison.
