Good Harvest Market is Waukesha County's largest natural food store and specializes in organic, natural and gluten free foods. Their aim is improve the health of their customers by offering products that don’t contain harmful ingredients; educating area residents about better choices in their food and overall health; and reducing their carbon footprint by offering as many local foods and local products as possible.
Shoppers can be assured that every item they purchase from Good Harvest meets their definition of "clean", which means they must pass very strict quality standards. No products are allowed which contain partially hydrogenated oils, high-fructose corn syrup, artificial sweeteners, added MSG, bleach or sodium nitrates.
Their fresh produce is 100% organically grown and is purchased locally whenever possible. No growth hormones, animal-by-products nor sodium nitrates are allowed in their meat and poultry products, utilizing farmers who raise their animals in a free range environment. Their seafood is selected from sustainably harvested suppliers.
Good Harvest carries a full line of high quality holistic health & beauty products, including natural supplements, herbs, homeopathic remedies and essential oils. They carefully select products that are free of harmful chemicals and dyes.
The Harvest Cafe offers many options for both dining in or taking out and includes a full menu and many grab n' go salads, wraps and more. Their weekday lunches include the only organic hot bar in the area (maybe all of Wisconsin) as well as an all-organic salad bar.
Education is also an important component at Good Harvest. They hold healthy living and cooking classes in their community room, as well as music "jams" open to the public. Their community room is available for rent, which is waived for non-profit organizations.
Encouraging and supporting local non-profit organizations which promote healthy living is also important to Good Harvest, with donations totaling over $30,000 since 2010.
