  • NEW BERLIN, WI – Beechwood Sales and Service (Beechwood) this year is celebrating its 25th anniversary of distributing the finest brands of malted beverages to Southeastern Wisconsin and across the state.

Beechwood BuildingA locally owned and operated company, Beechwood was acquired in 1987 by the Sheehan family.  Since then, Beechwood has seen its sales and market share explode in a very competitive environment through a focus on both building its share of Anheuser-Busch InBev products and embracing the craft beer renaissance with vigor.

“When my family purchased Beechwood in 1987, we had 38 employees and a small warehouse in West Allis,” said John Sheehan, President of Beechwood.  “After a significant investment in people, equipment, and buildings, today we work out of a state-of-the-art 165,000 square-foot facility in New Berlin.  More than 200 team members focus on selling, marketing, and delivering some of the finest beer across the great state of Wisconsin.  I am proud of where we have come in such a short time, and I am honored to have so many quality people working at Beechwood – 11 of whom have been part of our family from the start.  Through the highest possible level of service, outstanding salesmanship of the ultimate lineup of brands, and a paramount focus on education on all levels, Beechwood has solidified its position as the source for the best selection of beers in Wisconsin.”

The Beechwood portfolio features more than 90 different brewers, including the full line of Anheuser-BuschBeechwood trade show in Milwaukee Invbev products such as Bud Light, Budweiser, Goose Island, Stella Artois, and imports like Guinness, Carlsberg, and Duvel.  Beechwood also represents some of the best craft beer from across the United States. Craft products include Lagunitas, Oskar Blues,  Flying Dog, Magic Hat, Left Hand, and New Belgium, as well as some of the finest microbrews Wisconsin has to offer – such as New Glarus, Hinterland, Sprecher, Central Waters, 3 Sheeps, Milwaukee Brewing, Sand Creek, and Geneva Lake.

In both 2011 and 2012, Beechwood was named one of the Top 100 Work Places in Southeastern Wisconsin by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.   This award celebrates companies and organizations that are doing things the right way in the eyes of their own employees.

Beechwood and its employees are active in their local communities, donating time and money to support a variety of causes and charitable efforts.  Beechwood also provides sponsorship support to many charities and events in southeastern Wisconsin, including the Wisconsin State Fair and the Wisconsin State Fair Youth Foundation, East Town Association, First Stage Children’s Theater, Junior League of Milwaukee, Milwaukee Veterans Day Parade, Pabst Theatre Foundation, Ozaukee County Fair, Positively Pewaukee, and various festivals and events throughout the year.  In 2011, Beechwood and its employees donated more than $175,000 to worthy causes across the state.
