(Waukesha, WI) – Waukesha County Business Alliance and partner BizTimes Media have announced the 2012 Top 10 Businesses of the Year. The annual awards program recognizes companies headquartered in southeasternWisconsin that have consistent financial growth, and demonstrate a commitment to good business practice through their employee relations, customer-focused commitment and community service involvement.
“We are extremely proud to present the 2012 Top 10 Businesses of Year winners,” said Suzanne Kelley, president of the Waukesha County Business Alliance. “Our winning companies represent the diversity and strength of southeastern Wisconsin’s business community – construction, engineering, finance, graphics, health care, manufacturing, and business services.
“Our winners embody a number of exceptional qualities, including a keen focus on customer satisfaction, product quality, innovation, and community engagement. They were selected from a very competitive field of nominees.
One of the features that make these companies stand out is a shared commitment to talent development and ensuring a strong future workforce. All ten are devoting significant time, talent and treasure not only to developing their current employees, but also to implementing strategies to build a pipeline of skilled workers for our region in the future.

Top 10 Businesses of the Year are: ActionCOACH of Elm Grove, Davies Orthodontics, Waukesha and Wales, DUECO Inc., Waukesha, First Business Bank-Milwaukee, Brookfield, Graphics Systems, Menomonee Falls, QPS Employment Group, Brookfield, Rentapen Inc., Waukesha, Ruekert/Mielke Inc., Waukesha, Tim O'Brien Homes Inc., Waukesha, and Waukesha Metal Products, Sussex.
The announcement of the #1 Business of the Year took place at the awards luncheon on Thursday, June 7 at the Country Springs Hotel. The luncheon featured a panel of representatives from each of the winning organizations, and DUECO Inc. was named #1 Business of the Year.
DUECO, a third generation privately held business founded in 1955, is the largest privately owned provider of Terex Hi-Ranger bucket trucks and Terex Telelect digger derricks in the country. DUECO represents excellence in business management, corporate growth, employee and customer relations and a commitment to local communities.
