Health Care

The Alliance’s Health Care committee works to bridge the gap between southeast Wisconsin’s health care providers and area students – the future workforce. The health care industry is facing a workforce shortage, coupled with an aging baby boomer population that will increase the demand for health care. According to the Waukesha-Ozaukee-Washington (WOW) Workforce Development Center, health care sectors in just those three counties face an average employment increase of 16.2% by the year 2022, or an additional 13,000 workers. The Alliance’s Health Care committee works to bridge that gap and annually hosts a “Many Futures in Health Care Career Fair” that brings in 600 high school students to learn about career opportunities and pathways in health care.
